If there's time, check out the wet markets for an introduction to the many cultures that give Miri its character. | | Days 2-5 | Mulu National Park | Embark on a thrilling two-day journey along the Headhunter's Trail, venturing into spectacular caves filled with millions of bats. Hang around until dusk because it's an incredible sight watching these creatures come out to feed. | | Day 6 | Kuching | Get a taste of the city again before heading back out into the wild. Kuching was once given to English adventurer Sir James Brooke as a thank you present and his family ruled it until 1946! | | Days 7-8 | Iban Longhouse | Learn about the amazing history and culture of the Iban people who welcome us into their longhouses. Get an insight into their day to day life and maybe even knock back a glass of the local firewater with them in the evening. | | Days 9-10 | Kuching | Returning to Kuching take the time to explore the fascinating Kuching Museum and take a stroll along the river bank.
